Carpet Made from Recycled Plastic Bottles:
Plastic bottles that are made with PET (polyethylene terephthalate), can be ground into little chips, melted and extruded into a fiber that can be spun into carpet yarn. All PET products are bleach and stain resistant. One of our carpet mills converts about 3 billion plastics bottles a year into beautiful and soft carpeting. That is almost one in every four recycled plastic bottles in the United States! Fifty percent of this product is made from plastic bottles.

Wool Carpet: The most environmentally friendly carpet on the market
Wool carpet is made of natural fibers that are sustainable and even clean the air in your house. Wool fibers serve as an air filter because they absorb common indoor pollutants, such as nitrogen and sulphur dioxide and formaldehyde, without re-emitting them into the air. In addition to keeping you and your family safe, wool carpet eliminates waste in the landfills because it takes about 5 years to biodegrade unlike its synthetic counterparts which take 105 years.

Recycled Nylon Carpet
In a process called Evergreen recycling, another one of our mills collects used nylon 6 carpet and recycles it into particles that can be reproduced into brand new, soft, and beautiful nylon carpet. Evergreen recycling can occur over and over again so that nylon never reaches the landfills. This process helps decrease the 4.5 billion pounds of carpet that are sent to landfills each year.

Carpet Made from Corn Sugar
One of our carpet mills produces a fiber made out of corn sugar that is woven into durable, stain-resistant carpet. The use of corn sugar in the production of these carpet fibers reduces the amount of crude oil needed. While there is a limited supply of crude oil, corn can be harvested each year. One third of the product is made from corn oil.

Bamboo Flooring
Bamboo is considered to be a type of grass that re-sprouts almost immediately after harvesting. Unlike wood, bamboo is a sustainable material that can be harvested every five years. This green alternative to hardwood is naturally water, moisture, and stain resistant. It is also easy to clean.

Cork Flooring
Cork is a sustainable material that is made from shaved bark from cork trees. Unlike wood floors, cork floors are produced without cutting down the tree. Each cork tree can be shaved every nine years for up to 20 shavings
