The Basics

All carpet styles have one thing in common: they are all made of fibersthat are cut, looped, or cut and looped. As you look at carpet, you’ll see the styles fall into a few categories. One general rule you can use when deciding on your carpet is: the longer or higher the pile length, the softer and richer feeling the carpet becomes.

  • Products are available in:
    • Traditional swirl patterns, leaf patterns, and transitional patterns
    • Fun designs that express your own individual style
  • Mostly solid in color
  • Ideal in master bedrooms, family rooms, living and dining areas, or on the stairs
  • Best in a larger room so you can see the pattern and enjoy the pattern repeat

  • Takes about 5 years to biodegrade, unlike its synthetic counterparts which take 105 years
